Release your inner child at Wondr Experience Amsterdam
As a lover of all things pink, visiting the Museum of Ice Cream in Miami was very high on my list. I admired and saved hundreds of photos of it on Instagram, as an inspiration for my June 2018 trip. So you can imagine my disappointment when I found out that it was already closed by then! Luckily, more than a year later, I still got to experience something similar. In my very own capital city of Amsterdam!
A playground for adults
Welcome to Wondr Experience, an interactive playground where adults can release their inner child. According to their website, ‘wonder’ is the secret ingredient to happiness. And trust me, wonder is all you will do in the 15 very different rooms! Enter a videoclip in the Kaleidoscope Tunnel, perform like Britney Spears in the Sound of Music, chill like Snoop Dogg in the Smooth Lounge, jump inside the Marshmallow Pool, become a writer in Story Lines, fool around in the Blue Pit and so much more!
Of course, you will want to share this explosion of color directly on your Instagram. Wondr Experience knows this and even helps you to ‘stay present in te moment’ by placing cameras at their most popular corners. Just keep having fun, Wondr Experience got you all covered.
How it works
After scanning your ticket, you write your name and e-mail on a tablet. A ‘Wondr Pass’ will be emailed to you immediately. Scan the Wondr Pass QR Code at your desired photo booth to activate it and voilà, the camera is ready to use.
Save the photos that you want to keep by clicking on ‘I love it’ and those pictures will all be e-mailed to you. Be patient though, as it will take a couple of hours before you recieve all of them. Some might even appear only the next day. Or, just take your photos home with you by printing tem out at the end of the experience! The price starts at €5 for one photo.
And these are the ones that I took with my own iPhone 8s Plus and my Nikon D3400:
Good to know
The address of Wondr Experience is Meeuwenlaan 88 in Amsterdam, you can’t miss the pink building upon arrival. It is open daily between 11 AM and 7 PM, and you can visit Wondr Experience until 18 March 2020.
Tickets for Wondr Experience cost €24,50 and must be purchased online. It is not possible to buy tickets at the door, so make sure that you pick the right date and timeslot wen ordering your ticket.
